We declare our full solidarity with the entire Ukrainian nation and in particular with the representatives of Ukraine who are members of our community. We ensure that we will show all help to our associates from Ukraine and all citizens of this country who need help. We will make every effort to ensure that they can find a safe place to stay and work.

As part of the European GÉANT computer network, we closely monitor our connectivity to make sure that it is not misused for cyber-attacks, disinformation or other online threats. At the same time we support ukrainian research and education and our partner, URAN Association. We offer assistance to the Ukrainian side in the form of increasing the bandwidth and transferring the Ukrainian network traffic to the link between the Hrebenne node and the GÉANT node in Poznań.

Following the European Parliament Resolution of 1st March 2022 (2022/2564(RSP)) we have stopped peering with Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy (KIAE) in Russia. This excludes scientists at KIAE from participating in LHCONE, one of the largest research infrastructures involving Russia, until further notice. We condemn Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine. This war is a violation of international law, of modern democracy, and a crime against the free Ukrainian nation.
